TrackIt’s Company Video
Process
-
Defined the end-goal by asking many questions to TrackIt’s executive team
-
I researched how the competition was communicating online and whether their methods were successfully driving engagement or not.
I also studied the industry to get a good understanding of the market
I researched key statistics of the specific market on social media platforms (regarding how the company’s industry professionals are using social media)
-
From the information gathered during the first meetings and the company’s documentation, I was able to outline the company’s core mission.
These elements helped me build a narrative around the why of the company.
I then study the target audience and what issues they run into in their business.
-
I then investigated the following:
How do they help their clients with their business?
What specific value do they bring that differentiates them from other companies on the market?
What services do they provide?
What problems do they solve for their clients? How do they make their tasks more efficient or easier?
How do they execute?
What does their typical client work schedule consist of?
How do they manage projects?
What are some of the results they’ve achieved for clients?
-
The script structure I used for TrackIt’s company introduction video:
Problem: Describe/Show the problem faced by the company’s target clients
Agitate: How is it affecting them?
Concretize: How is it affecting their numbers and growth?
Introduce the Solution: The company
Details of the Solution: Show in several key points why the company is the best fit for the audience
Call To Action: Finish by directing the viewer towards specific action to take to start engaging with the company
Storyboard - Introduction Video
-
I met with the clients to gather any feedback and helped them choose the script that would drive the most engagements and conversions. I then made modifications from the notes and prepared the final script.
-
Following The Script, I start preparing the storyboard. I follow a specific process that allows me to ensure that all important elements are taken into consideration.
-
I prepared a mood board from the information gathered on the company, the industry and the target user.

-
After 2 rounds of modifications, we were ready to finalize the storyboard.
-
I sent several design styles for the client to choose from. The colors and fonts match the brand and general vibe of the company.
We also discussed the illustration style for the animations, and chose a motion graphics and flat design style.
-
Wacom Tablet, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere and Photoshop.
-
Once the motion graphic video was ready, I added sounds, music, and a narrator’s voice.
